Policy and Procedures

Following are the policies and procedures for maintaining and utilising physical, academic and support facilities.

  1. Each department has a faculty meeting which decides the requirements about academic and laboratory requirements and then submits the budget requirements annually to the principal. The principal discusses with the HODs of the respective college departments and forwards the same to the management. The management will then place it before the finance committee of the Trust for approval. After it is approved, further process will be taken by the head of the institution. The aim is to upgrade the existing infrastructure to meet the continually growing needs of the academic activities.
  2. A detailed plan to meet the future requirements of the infrastructure is also included in the strategic plan. It is the policy of the management to make sincere and committed efforts in expanding the infrastructure. To name a few, classrooms have been renovated, ICT-enabled classrooms increased in number, SAP-ERP was introduced and so on.
  3. The teaching-learning process is enhanced in the institution through well-ventilated classrooms equipped with LCD projectors.
  4. Internet connection with Wi-Fi in computer labs, departments and the office.
  5. A computerised library with an internet connection is provided to the students and faculty members through the Network Resource Centre.
  6. Learning resources in the form of journals and e-resources are expanded every year to enhance research activities. For the maintenance and upkeep of the physical infrastructure, facilities and equipment including computers, the college has centralised maintenance for the entire campus. There is a full-time chief engineer appointed by the management to attend to the faults and repairs regularly.
  7. A regular practice of maintaining library books is done by the library staff.
  8. For the regular maintenance of computers, laptops and printers the institution has, an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) with M/S. Gurudev Infotech Ltd is signed.
  9. An Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) is also taken for the maintenance of the intercoms, photocopy machines, inverters and generators.
  10. The services of carpenters, plumbers and electricians for work such as repairing furniture, cleaning up water tanks, plumbing, electrical fittings and water filter cleaning are available regularly by respective contractors, referred to by the management.
  11. The support staff appointed in the college is involved in the cleaning and maintenance of the building and campus
  12. A maintenance team is outsourced for the upkeep and daily cleaning of restrooms. Personnel are employed for the maintenance of the garden.
  13. 24×7 security personnel guard the college.
  14. The sports complex has indoor and outdoor game facilities.
  15. Has a well-equipped gym and qualified couch for American football, athletics and other outdoor sports.
  16. The indoor games facility will be provided in the multi-purpose hall.
  17. Gym equipment and sports ground are maintained by the support staff.
  18. The library has more than 10,000 books and reference collections of  National and International journals.
  19. It has magazines, newspapers and books on competitive examinations.
  20. Reference books and e-journals through INFLIBNET and DELNET have been subscribed to, to help the faculty members with research.
